Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Book An Event?
Contact: Glass Slipper Entertainment (319) 899-4240

or email cecie@glass-slipper-entertainment.com

Booking A Date: We suggest that you call or email to see if the date is available. Parties are booked on a first come, first served basis. Due to popularity, it is advisable to reserve your date 1-2 months ahead of time.

There is a $75.00 Non-Refundable deposit required to book your event. This guarantees your placement on our calendar. The deposit will be applied to your final invoice. When booking a character only visit, payment is due in full when booking.

In addition to your deposit, we will need you to complete and return your signed contract with Glass Slipper Entertainment to confirm your event date. You must return the signed contract within seven days of booking, or you will forfeit your event date. The remaining balance is to be paid eight days prior to your event date, based on final head count.

Events booked within seven days of the event date, will be charged an additional fee for rush services, and payment will be due in full. Events booked on a major holiday will be charged an additional fee.

How Many Children Can I Have At A Party?
Party packages are for eight guests total, unless otherwise noted. Due to the nature of setting up your party, we cannot proved a credit or refund for fewer than eight guests. Please contact us for information on additional guests beyond the standard eight. If a guest is included in the final head count, and does not attend the party, unfortunately we cannot provide a refund. Also, we cannot accommodate unexpected guests the day of your event, this includes siblings of your guests.

What If I Have To Cancel A Party?
Due to the nature of the business, deposits are non-refundable. If for some reason the event date will no  longer work for you, Glass Slipper Entertainment will work with you to reschedule your event. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, or inclement weather, Glass Slipper Entertainment reserves the right to reschedule your event.

What Should The Children Wear To The Party?
Let your guests know that boys may put costumes on over their clothes. We recommend that girls wear a leotard or preferably a swimsuit to facilitate costume dressing in a group setting, the children do not get undressed.

What Ages Can I Have At A Tea Party?
Our parties are for 3 - 100 years old. For safety reasons, children under 3 years old will not be permitted to use Glass Slipper Entertainment equipment.

Where Are The Parties Held?
We travel and hold parties in your home, church, school, function hall, country club, recreation center or location of your choice. Due to the nature of the costumes, we do not hold parties outdoors. Please contact us to discuss a location with accommodating space.
Parking: We require space for parking in your driveway or the front of your home for one vehicle, that allows for easy and safe access to the party area.

Policy and Procedures

Allergies: We are aware that some of your guests may have food allergies. If any of them have allergies, it is your responsibility to make us aware of them. We will do our best to accommodate children with special dietary needs, but it may be necessary for you or their parents to provide an alternative treat for them.

Taxes & Gratuity: A 5% state sales tax will be added to your final bill. Gratuity is not included, but is greatly appreciated.

Your Obligation:
- Provide an area for children's tables to be set up.
- Provide a table or serving area for food to be displayed or served from. We can provide additional tables if space is available.
- We recommend a separate area for your adult guests, so noise can be kept to a minimum.
- Food is typically provided only for children, but adult meals may be requested for an additional cost.
- Provide a separate table or area for crafts. We can provide a table if space is available.
- Provide electrical outlets for music/equipment in the party room.
- Provide a safe and clean area for dress-up, activities and eating.
- Remain with the party.

Because accidents sometimes happen, we ask that no other types of food or beverage are served while the children are in the dress-up outfits. If you are planning to provide refreshments to the parents or siblings who stay, we ask your cooperation in making sure the children do not have access to that while dressed up.
